Looking for an position as a Web designer and/or Graphic Designer, Computer Graphics & Animation doing layout and production. To use my knowledge of Desktop Publishing, Animation, Graphic & Web Design and Contemporary Computer Technology.

During the last 3 years I have attended 3 schools to learn Desktop Publishing & Computer Graphics, Web Design & Animation. Now I am familiar with such programs as:

I am highly motivated, responsible, dependable, and an “A-type personality. I tutor fellow students at Katherine Gibbs due to my Honor Roll, straight “A” status and the fact that I have been working with these programs for the past 2,1/2 years. I am eager to be involved with anything that has to do with the new field of Internet Technology, and Graphic Design, layout, & publishing.

I have many years’ experience in the work force as both a team member, employee, as well as owner of my own company. I have developed excellent listening and interpersonal skills and leadership qualities as well as a talent for dealing with clients 1 on 1 to reach their desired goals. All my life I have been a very creative individual where I have developed talents such as Music, Acting, Drawing, Woodworking, Job estimating, with strong leadership qualities, an independent self starter, with a short learning curve, who can work just as well in a team situation. Some words never used to describe me are: Shy, timid, bashful, insecure, unsure, reserved. There is nothing I feel I cannot due once I put my mind to it, and the only stupid question is the one not asked. I have an “A-Type” personality.

I lived in New York City, where I was an independent sub contractor. I started out installing ceiling fans and made my business grow into a company that renovated brownstone Apartments in NYC mainly in the Lower East Side. Finish Carpentry was my Forte along with sheetrocking, metal & wood framing and helping the client with design esthetics.  I used to oversee the other trades and subcontractors and keep a strict work schedule so jobs finished on time and on budget. I ordered materials, did job estimates, submitted bills, bids, and proposals, excellent organizational skills.

While in the union I worked along side some of the most talented/skilled craftsmen in the country/industry. I had clients such as: Donald & Ivana Trump (Trump Towers), Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfinger, Georgio Armani, Ralph Lauren (Polo store on 5th Ave.) Macy’s, and Bloomindales

·         Along with the programs that I have listed above, I have worked on both major Operating systems Mac and PC.

·         I’ve worked scanners and printers at the schools I attended as well as at home. Installed software, burned CD’s, used Iomega Zip Drives

·         My typing is 35 WPM.

·         I also have experience with Office 98 Access, Excel, Word & PowerPoint and an understanding of HTML and Java.

·         I have about 2 - 3 years experience in these programs

·         My skill level is intermediate - advanced.

·         Currently Tutoring fellow students in a work/study program at: Photoshop Illustrator, QuarkXPress,

·         While attending Teksolv. The school held a competition among 15 graphics students and I won. My ad (Which can be seen on my web page) was used to represent Teksolv for the next 2 months in the Asbury Park Press, The Home News and The Observer.
